"Goshu engizara" in Japanese means five fortune plates. The design is inspired by earthenware molds for “Rakugan” Japanese traditional confectionery (dry confection of starch and sugar mixed and pressed into a pattern). The five motifs have been regarded as auspicious in Japan since old times. Our version is a collection of colorful, adorable, palm-size plates made of earthenware and by the color glazing scheme which is best suited to each motif. “Chidori” (Plover bird) in blue is one of them. Available in two sizes: small & mini. The applications of [motif mini plate]: you could serve salt and pepper, arrange them on a plate for accent or use them as a chopstick rest. Enjoy the mix and match by using different sizes, motifs, colors for varied purposes and effects!
